RAISING AWARENESS OF TRAFFICKING WORLDWIDE
The ongoing global economic crisis could have far reaching social effects for children worldwide. As many face financial hardship, the risk of trafficking children for sexual purposes increases.
To address these concerns, ethical beauty retailer, The Body Shop USA teamed up with ECPAT-USA and Somaly Mam Foundation to raise awareness and resources to help keep the world’s children free from sex trafficking. The Body Shop USA created a skin care product called Soft Hands, Kind Heart Hand Cream, of which sales proceeds go toward supporting ECPAT’s efforts.
The Body Shop’s campaign is international and supported by in-store promotion and activities. Here’s your chance to lend a hand too!
1. Visit The Body Shop USA location near you and purchase Soft Hands Kind Heart Hand Cream. The Body Shop will donate a portion of each purchase to ECPAT.
2. Find your member of Congress and ask him or her to get involved. Print out this letter to Congress and mail it to your Congressman.
3. Tell your friends. You and your friends can change policy to protect children!
